How long have you been at CrossFit Algiers? January 2019

What keeps you coming back? The challenge of finding my highest physical ability.

How did you find CrossFit?  I found CrossFit when my other gym was not enough of a physical challenge to me.

What is your athletic background? I ran in junior high school and have worked 

out all my life. I played tennis for Aurora County Club’s Tennis League.

How has CrossFit Algiers changed your life, lifestyle and level of fitness? My family always reminds me of how hooked I am on CrossFit. Crossfit keeps me mentally and physically fit. I have always wanted to be an athelete and CrossFit Algiers has given me the courage to live my dream.

Is there something you have done here that you never thought you could do? I love running but, I never thought I could run a half marathon! I never thought I would be lifting a weight of 235 pounds! Wow!

What motivates/inspires you? My family and God motivate me.

Name one goal/personal achievement that you would like to achieve through CrossFit Algiers? I would like to compete against other athletes in my age group. CrossFit Algiers has given me the courage and physical skills to achieve that dream.

What goals have you achieved at CrossFit Algiers? My goal was to be able to, at age 60, continue to challenge myself physically. I have always wanted to be an athelete and compete in a sport. CrossFit Algiers has helped me gain the physical strength and techniques to achieve this. 

Hobbies/interests outside of CrossFit: I love collecting antiques! Also,I love mountain hiking and bike riding and watching L.S.U. and Saints football games

Tell me about your diet:  I eat green leafy vegetables and a protein at every meal. I try to limit my carb intakes to breakfast and lunch. My snacks are either a protein shake or bar or nuts. It is okay to cheat sometimes! 

Any advice for someone thinking about trying CrossFit Algiers? CrossFit Algiers can help you achieve a physical strength you never believe you had. The coaches make it happen!
